v1v1 — pending legal review by an Iraqi lawyer before public launch. Operators reviewing this should treat as a draft.
Terms of Service
Effective May 3, 2026
These terms apply to everyone who uses Charity-IQ — donors, charities, and visitors. Read carefully; using the platform means you agree.
1. Service description
Charity-IQ is a platform that lists verified Iraqi charities, accepts donations on their behalf via Zain Cash (with funds flowing directly to the charity), and provides on-chain donation receipts via Polygon.
2. Eligibility
Charities: Must be a registered Iraqi NGO. Documents required during signup.
Donors: Must be 18 or older. Iraqi residents preferred but not required.
3. Donor terms
- Donations are non-refundable. Once paid via Zain Cash, the funds are in the charity's wallet — Charity-IQ cannot reverse the transaction.
- Charity-IQ is NOT the recipient of any donation. The charity is. Donor consent acknowledges this.
- Donor accounts do not exist in v1 — every donation is one-time and guest.
- Receipts are accessible by URL. Donors are responsible for saving or printing their receipt at payment time.
4. Charity terms
- Verification is required before publishing campaigns. We may reject applications without detailed reason.
- Charities are responsible for the truthfulness of all content they publish (campaign descriptions, expense reports, updates).
- Prohibited content: fraud, fundraising for non-charitable purposes, weapons, illegal activities, hate speech, content harmful to children.
- Charities can be suspended or terminated for violating these terms.
5. Subscriptions and billing
- Free plan: 1 published campaign, 100 MB storage. Free forever.
- Paid plan: $29/month or $290/year (save 17%). 50 campaigns, 5 GB storage.
- 14-day full-access trial on signup. No card required upfront.
- Billing handled by Stripe. Refunds are not standard — refund requests are reviewed case-by-case.
- Cancellation: anytime via the billing portal. Service continues until the end of the current billing period.
6. On-chain anchoring
- Every donation's hash is permanently anchored on Polygon mainnet.
- Anchored records cannot be deleted, hidden, or altered by anyone — including Charity-IQ, the charity, or the donor.
7. Campaign immutability
- Once a campaign is published, it cannot be deleted (DRAFT campaigns can be deleted by the charity).
- Published campaigns persist indefinitely as historical records referenced by anchored donations.
8. Disclaimers
- Service provided as is. No warranty of uninterrupted operation, fitness for purpose, or specific outcomes.
- We are not responsible for individual charity conduct or outcomes — donors should verify charities themselves before donating.
9. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by Iraqi law, Charity-IQ's total liability is limited to fees paid by the charity in the 12 months preceding the claim.
10. Termination
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
- Charities may close their account at any time via contact request. Published campaigns and on-chain records persist regardless.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by Iraqi law. Disputes are settled in Iraqi courts.
